Attendee Expectations

 

By registering for the event, all TEDxDartmouth attendees agree to comply with the following set of expectations, rules, and policies:

  1. Admission to the event requires a valid printed or mobile ticket. Tickets can be obtained online or at the door (Spaulding Auditorium, Hopkins Center for the Arts, Hanover, 03755).

  2. The conference will be divided into a morning (10 AM - 12 PM) and afternoon session (1 PM - 3 PM) with a different set of six speakers in each. Attendees may register for either a single session or for the entire day.

  3. Event check-in and registration for the morning session will begin promptly at 9:00 AM EST on April 13, 2019 in Hop Garage Room 131 (adjacent to Spaulding Auditorium). Doors to the auditorium will open 30 minutes prior to the conference start time of 10:00 AM. For the afternoon session, check-in will begin at 12:30 PM in Hop Garage Room 131.

  4. All attendees must wear their conference name badge given during check-in at all times during the event.

  5. No flash photography or video recording at the venue is permitted under any circumstances during a session.

  6. Cancellations and refunds are only allowed up to 48 hours prior to the event. For Dartmouth students, a fee of $10 will apply for no-shows or those who cancel after April 11th at 10:00 AM EST. You can request a refund on Eventbrite or by emailing TEDx@dartmouth.edu.

  7. Attendees are not allowed to bring any guests. Each attendee must have their own ticket. 

  8. No one under the age of 12 is allowed into the auditorium. Special exceptions may apply. Contact tedx@dartmouth.edu for more details.

  9. No travel or lodging funding is available for attendees from outside the Upper Valley. However, we have partnered with the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in White River Junction, VT to provide a discounted rate for TEDxDartmouth attendees. Book a room using this link.

  10. Refreshments and snacks will be provided to all attendees on the day of the event. Lunch will be provided to attendees who register for the entire day. Food and drink is not allowed into the auditorium at any time.

  11. The event will be video recorded and photographed for distribution on the TEDx Talks Youtube Channel, our website, and social medial channels. By attending the event, you are consenting to a photo and video release.

  12. TEDxDartmouth organizers are not liable or responsible for any injuries, loss or theft of any personal belongings of any attendees during the event.
